So the wedding day finally arrived, and as you can see from the photo above, the weather surpassed all expectations given the location! A fabulous day was had, and everything came together like a dream.
In the end, I decided to just go ahead and make the bouquets myself - all the flowers were bought from an obliging supermarket, and the ribbons were provided by my mum from her vast stock (available at www.artsanddesigns.com!)
This ludicrously gorgeous cake was made by Ashley Spence at www.thecheerfulcakecompany.co.uk and was just as delicious to taste as it looked! The top layer was chocolate torte (mmmm), and the bottom two layers were vanilla sponge.
Finally, we danced the night away with a traditional Scottish Ceilidh!
